Javascript: The Next Frontier

The future of javascript programming is obvious. It is becoming a structured language that will replace Objective C and Android as the operating system for mobile devices.

Google began development on Dart a year ago, Microsoft just released Typescript, and Mozilla is working on ECMAScript Harmony. So where is Apple in all this? Is Tim Cook just sitting on his hands while the competitors build the next generation of mobile?

It seems that only Google has a clear plan with their Dart VM that could be run on smart-phones and tablets. But will Google's Dart fall by the wayside of Go programming?

There are a lot of unanswered questions. But I'm sure that these questions will be unraveled in the next 5 years as WebOS continues to mature.
